Cosmetic Dentistry

Until recently, the prohibitive five figure cost of cosmetic dental care meant it was only available to the financially privileged and most famous celebrities. Previously, often painful and invasive procedures were necessary to achieve a good improvement in appearance. Invasive treatments required long term maintenance and replacement treatments.

However, in the last decade dentists have witnessed an explosion in demand for brighter and straighter attractive smiles. Improvements in technology have lead the way to less invasive and more cost effective methods of improving visual appearance and self confidence.

Tooth Whitening

Our innovative whitening procedure involves custom made "Ultraseal" trays individually made for optimum results. This is achieved after just two visits to the practice alongside a daily whitening regime at home within a two week time frame. The trays may then be used again as part of your home care routine to maintain your ideal shade. Results will vary depending on the darkness of your teeth and your circumstances. Historically, the legal position in Europe relating to tooth whitening has been confusing allowing non-dental professionals to offer whitening materials and procedures that are not necessarily legal and safe. At Park Dental Care, our patients can rest assured that we only ever use safe, legal and effective materials and procedures, delivered by qualified and fully trained staff.

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth. Veneers are an ideal way of treating discoloured or unsightly teeth, closing gaps between front teeth, or repairing chips and cracks.

A crown is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that have been broken, or have been weakened by decay or a very large filling.

Bridges are used to replace missing teeth, crowns are put on the teeth at ethier side of the space and then a false tooth joins both crowns together to fill the space.

Implants consist of a titanium "root" placed in the jaw bone which supports a false tooth to replace a missing tooth. Any number of teeth can be replaced - from a single tooth to a complete set.
